just for sh**s and giggles
Published on May 2, 2004 By marc mullins In Welcome
I was brought to this site by my brother who has written a lot on here and i was

very impressed, not only with his articles (that are very good) but also with several others.

I am not much into writing so please forgive me for not being as professional about it as others seem to be.

I guess i should write a little about me.

I am 33 years old married with 6 children. two from a previous marriage and my wife has 4 from another marriage.

I most recently was working in the HVAC field until a year and a half ago when i was injued on the job.

I had torn my shoulder while tring to remove a coil from an air handler that was mounted against the ceiling in a garage the ceiling was 10 feet high.

I had to have surgery on my shoulder in march of 2003, i had previously had surgery on my left wrist in which i had pins installed. due to the surgery on my right shoulder i had to use my left arm for everthing, and because of this i injured it again and had to have a complete fusion done on my wrist in july 2003. i have since tried to go back to work but was unable to do the job.

i now am dealing with high blood pressure, chlesterol, emphysemia(not sure about the spelling)C.O.P.D and deep depression.

Before working in the Hvac field i was an OTR Truck driver for almost 5 years. I loved that work and miss it very much.

Being an over the road truck driver is a lifestyle not just a job. i would stay out on the road for 6 to 9 months at a time without going home. it was like living in a new place everyday.

On March 10th 2003 i became an ordained minister.

As i said before i am not a proffessional writer and i know i was just rambling on .....maybe in time i will get better at this.......hope i didnt bore you too much......

Welcome to JoeUser Marc. Worry not about the writing, most folks here enjoy reading what others have to say. It sounds like you have had a lot to deal with and I admire your ability to continue to persevere despite it all.

Hang around, make some friends, enjoy yourself here.

Marc, congradulations on finding this site. As I have, you too will find that the people (for the absolute greatest part) are fantastic listeners, writters, advise givers and takers. Be who you are and write away. Enjoy yourself. I too will be looking forward to your installments.

good to see you, hope to see more of your stuff, soon!

Well, when you said that you don't write as 'proffesionally' as the rest... trust me, if you want to look good, when it comes to writing, read some of my stuff. I can't spell and my usage of words sucks bad!

Don't worry though, if you want to laugh, the humor section isn't filled with that lowsy stuff, it truly is a funny group.

Good luck and may your days here be full of cheese and llamas.

Capt. over and out!

I welcome you too.  What is HVAC?  Is it like central vac?  Sorry if that was a completely blonde question.  When you mentioned air handler in the garage it made me think of my central vac.  So sorry to hear about your health problems.  You will like it hear because there is always someone who can relate to what you are going through and you can even learn from these people

Best wishes.
